Learning aims and objectives for the Vertical Guided Bone and Tissue Regeneration course:
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
- Correct diagnosis and case selection using specific guidelines for full assessment of the patient.
- Know when and how a tooth can be saved by means of periodontal regeneration.
- Live experience of the challenges of a vertical bone augmentation surgery, with particular emphasis on the precise steps of the surgical procedure.
- Tips and tricks of successful Guided Bone Regeneration and how to avoid surgical pitfalls.
- Confidence in treating patients with bone defects by applying Guided Bone Regeneration techniques.
- Handling soft tissues during Guided Bone Regeneration to achieve success.
Upon successful completion of this masterclass, students will be able to:
- Understand the principles of Guided Bone Regeneration and Guided Tissue Regeneration.
- Undertake expert patient diagnosis for vertical and horizontal ridge augmentation.
- Make informed choices in graft selection and treatment planning.
- Apply the latest techniques to reconstruct peri-implant soft and hard tissues around dental implants or around teeth.
- Plan effective post-operative protocols.

• Vertical ridge augmentation using titanium reinforced non-resorbable membranes, bone graft and mini screw
• Flap management to achieve tension-free passive mucogingival flaps
• Implant placement + vertical bone augmentation

Delegates should have completed at least 20 implant cases and be familiar with the theory and rationale of basic bone augmentation around implants.
The course is restricted to 20 dental surgeons.
Lunch and teas / coffees will be served each day and your dietary requirements can be indicated on the accompanying booking form.
Loupes and a light are regarded as mandatory for the course and the clinical practice of these techniques thereafter.
Protective clothing and disposables for the hands-on sessions are provided for the hands on section.
At the end of the course a fabulous dinner will be offered in a cool London restaurant on Friday evening. We would be delighted if delegates attend with the whole group.
